Hi everyone! Today and tomorrow are my last two days at primary school and I will try and write everyday when I'm in high school. Anyway, today we had to do our leavers plays which are performances that year 6's do in-front of the whole school. Ours was a restaurant with some posh people at one table and some really poor people at the other and to be honest, it was awful. The best part of it was when we were finished. That took up the whole morning since we had to practice and then actually do them and then after lunch all we did was watch Madagascar and that was all that happened. I'll write again tomorrow, see ya.

I haven't written my blog for ages!

Today there weren't many people at school because they were all at a rounders tournament- we didn't do much, but when everyone was back in the afternoon we had an assembly. They talked about all the sports things going on and then they announced the sports star of the year for the best boy and best girl and I was chosen for the girls (because I'm awesome). I've had a busy few weeks - I got level 6 in my Maths SATS (and level 5 in everything else), and I got 5 tries in a rugby tournament last week (more tries than anyone else).

I will try and start writing my blog again now!

Africa Day

Today in school we had an Africa day to raise money for a charity in Uganda. First we had to make these paper bracelets that were literally gust rolled up peaces of paper made into a bead shape. They actually looked really good in the end so I was pleased with it when I was finished. Then we had to make some African tiles with a silhouette of some animals. I did two elephants on mine, one baby one and one big one and it was really cool. Then we had to make a vegetable curry and it tasted really good

Hi everyone. sorry I haven't blogged in such a long time but I've been forgetting about it a lot. I can't really remember what has happened in the last week or so but I do remember that on Monday I went to a mini Olympics with school and I was going to do 100m but I tossed a coin with Molly because she was doing 400m which is my favorite event and I won the coin toss and I also won the race. In the end our school came first which I'm really pleased about.
So, today in English I had to write up a story that I've been working on for a while. We had to do one of those stores that says how an animal got one of it's well known features like how the monkey got it's tail and how did the giraffe get it's ling neck and stuff like that. Mine was why so crocodiles have such big teeth and we had to white it in a little booklet like a real story.
I'm not going to blog tomorrow and It's not because I won't remember but because I'm going on my residential. We're going to a place called Buckden House (http://www.buckdenhouse.co.uk/index.cfm)
and I'm going all weekend so it's going to be really cool.

Wednesday, June 12, 2013

This morning the art teacher from a high school that's really close to our school came in and we had to do some Picasso. Then after lunch we had to do some work about the Masai tribe because we had to do a paragraph with 5 different subjects about them. It took me ages but I did get it finished. After last play all year 6 had to have a talk about the residential which is this month but all we had to do was say what we wanted to eat on the trip.

Tuesday, June 11, 2013

Today was spirit alive which is our schools sports competition and it lasted all day. Each team represents a country and I was in Spain. I can't remember which order all the events were in but we had to do rhythmic gymnastics (prancing round with a ribbon), archery (I got 16 points in that), skipping and running in the morning. then after lunch we did all the team games like football, hockey, volleyball and handball. I competed in all of those events except for football. In the end my team came second because New Zealand came first.

Monday, June 10, 2013

I'm really sorry that I didn't blog last week but I had to much to do. Anyway last week I didn't do much but on Friday I went to a Leeds Rhinos game and at half time I did a relay with 11 other people from school. We came second so we qualified to go to another match which is good.

Today we had to do drama for about half an hour and drama is my worst subject. Then in maths we had to do this murder thing where we got loads of information about the murder like how many people where in the house and what everyone's heart-rate was and I got it right. Then after lunch, we had to do an African mask but I had to go because I had to go to a netball tournament. We came 4th out of 5 teams so we can't go to the next stage but I'm glad we even got to this stage.

School disco today! It was all right, but a lot of my friends weren't there. We had maths - boring, science - magnets and that was it!

Wednesday, May 22, 2013

Today we didn't do much - we had to come up with a basic idea for the maths game we're putting together. Ours has got shapes and jellyfish - a winning combination. Then for the whole afternoon we did science things - we're making a maze that we can drag around a metal fish with a magnet.

Tuesday, May 21, 2013

Today I was hardly at school because I had to go to a tag rugby tournament which lasted all day. It was at the John Charles Centre (where I go for athletics) and there were 20 school competing - our school came 5th and I scored a try!

All the rugby mascots were there as well as a few rugby players - I got 5 autographs from them!

Friday, May 17, 2013

Today was the last day of SATs. We had science - I managed to finish is 10 minutes so had to wait for 35 more minutes for the exam to end. I spent the time balancing rulers on a rubber.

Thursday, May 16, 2013

Last day of proper SATs today - maths test, but we had to do three exams! We got to do PE between the exams though.

Monday, May 13, 2013

Today was the first day of SATs and we had to do our reading test - I did level 5 in the morning and level 6 in the afternoon. It was okay, but we had to have a maths lesson after the level 5 test which made me sad.

I managed to get the basket ball in the net at the impossible angle at break - I've been trying for weeks!

Wednesday, May 08, 2013

Today in maths we just marked our paper A for our level 6 SATS paper - I got 19 out of 25. Then in science we watched a video - we were meant to do some questions but our computer kept breaking at a certain point so we didn't get to do the questions before it was play time.

The year 1 and 2 children were doing their practice races for the rugby match (the one I talked about a few days ago). They were so cute!

Tuesday, May 07, 2013

Today in English we had to do a reading test but we had to do it with a partner which was good. Then in maths we had to do loads of sums which would have been really boring but I had to mark my level 6 maths test that we did instead which was much better. I was the only person that got a level because I needed 34 marks and I got 39.
At playtime they were doing trials for a race at the halftime of  a Leeds Rhinos game. I  won which I was really  pleased with.

Wednesday, May 01, 2013

Today in maths we had to go through a sheet with 67 questions on it. We had to go through all of it and Suzan and I managed to get to the end of it - some of it was so easy that it made you want to cry!

In English we had to go through a level 6 grammar test with Mr Bradley - it was okay. And at the moment everyone wants cyber schooling where everyone stays at home!

Tuesday, April 30, 2013

I'm really sorry I missed my last few blogs but I can't remember what I did on Monday and Friday so I'll just write about today.
In English we had to do a page of a test and I got 12 marks out of 16. It was really hard because it was a            poem and Mr Bradly said that he chose a poem because poets have "a different way of saying things". Personally, I don't understand why anyone would want to read or write a poem but that's just my opinion.
In maths we had to do a test and it was test B for my practice level 6 SAT test. I don't know how I did yet but I'll find out soon.

Thursday, April 25, 2013

Today in English while everyone else was doing big writing we marked our tests - we only got to question 13 but I already had enough marks for a level 6 which is really good. In maths we got to do the most fun thing in the world; fractions and decimals! I like percentages though.

We had to miss PE because there was someone talking while Mr Rowney was telling us what to do so we had to get change and just read.

Tuesday, April 23, 2013

Today we had to do a level 6 maths test but it was really hard! I didn't like it much.

In French we had to make our own pop-group but we had to do everything in French. Our group is called "poisson jaune" (yellow fish).

Monday, April 22, 2013

Today in maths we had to do boring stuff about division and multiplication which was really boring because its like the 6th time we did this year. In English we had to do about superlatives and comparatives.
In science we had to do keys so it was quite easy. Then we did PE and we did tennis. Usually I'm the best girl at any sports but I really can't do tennis so it was a bit embarrassing!

Wednesday, April 17, 2013

Today in English we had to do big writing but it was really hard because it was a short writing assessment. The in maths we had to do a mental maths test and I got 20/20 again that means i got 100% on all three of my tests. They were easy.
At lunch we had to practice netball because we have a tournament tomorrow!
After lunch we had RE and we had to do about doing the right thing which was really boring. Anyway it didn't last long so that was good!

Tuesday, April 16, 2013

We finished our song in topic today but we haven't practised it yet. We got into French groups today too - I'm in Mrs Morrish's group with Nichol and Ellie.

In maths we did a maths test (I got 100% in all three papers).

Monday, April 15, 2013

Hi! Today was our first day back from the Easter holidays and it was pretty fun. First of all Mr Rowney asked me about my athletics competition (Yorkshire came 10th out of 12 teams) and then he explained our new timetable. It's really confusing because its really different to before. Maths and English have been swapped round and now assembly is at the end of the day.
So first of all we went to English and we had to do a reading assessment which was really boring and straight after that we had playtime where we all just played football.
Then in maths we had to do time and I really hate doing that because its so easy. I mean, the hardest thing about seeing what time it is on a clock is telling the hour and the minute hand apart!
We had lunch and then we went into science groups and we had to do about solids and liquids. we only had to watch some videos so that was good.
Then we had another playtime but me and some other people had to stay in so Mr Rowney could talk to us.It was about the school newspaper because it was our turn to write it. Me and Molly had to do a section about the netball tournament a few months ago. We got straight on with it and went down to the computer suit which was a good decision because we got to miss assembly.
The last lesson of the day was PE and we had to do some team games where we just had to stand on a bench either without speaking, without touching the floor or both. It was really fun!!!

Thursday, March 28, 2013

Hello. Today was the last day of term so I thought it was going to fun but it was one of the worst days ever! First we did maths - we just carried on one of the papers we were doing (nothing fun). In English we had to do a spelling test (I got 18 out of 20). Then, all afternoon we had a health fair and I had to do a higher or lower calorie game - then I got really confused because I had to help someone and it all got a bit confusing! At least I got a free orange!

Wednesday, March 27, 2013

Today in topic we did music all afternoon and I really enjoyed it - ours was the best in the class and even though I didn't think I would enjoy it, it was good fun.

We had to do big writing (which made me sad). and Mr Bradley has given us too much homework!

Tuesday, March 26, 2013

Sorry I didn't blog yesterday.

Today we did a maths test (I got 40 out of 40) - then we marked our grammar test (48 out of 50) then in science we had to do some test papers (no mark yet) and in topic we had to write some of our song and we finished it and we are now looking for a tune for it.

Thursday, March 21, 2013

Today Mrs Morrish was miserable.

Then in literacy we did big writing but it was good because I'm good at writing formal pieces of work. In PE we did more basket ball and because we're not doing it next week because of the health thing, this was our last Thursday PE lesson before Easter. I got to choose my team!

Wednesday, March 20, 2013

Today in maths we had to do a mental maths test and I got 20 out of 20 and got a team point. Then in English we had to do clauses and phrases to see what the difference was (I wasn't sure to be honest).

Tuesday, March 19, 2013

We haven't blogged for ages! Anyway, Friday was red nose day - I sprayed my hair red, but we just did normal lessons. Yesterday nothing really happened and today in music we listened to some Beatles songs and try to work out what instruments were being played. We listened to some other stuff after that.

Wednesday, March 13, 2013

Today in maths we had to do the usual stuff - it was about angles but it was really easy. We had a level 6 test to do too but we didn't have time to even start it! In literacy we just marked out grammar test - I would have got a level 5 I think.

In topic we did PE.

Monday, March 11, 2013

Hello people. Today in maths we had to do all stuff like triangles and I thought 'what's the point' because we knew all of it! We had to do a grammar test today too - it was weird; it felt like it went really slowly but I still had to rush at the end.

In PE we did basket ball - I was so happy because we were supposed to be doing dance!

Thursday, March 07, 2013

Today was out netball tournament - I was a bit nervous, but not very because I've been to a lot before. The taxi didn't come to pick us so we had to power walk to there. We came second (we won 4 games, lost one game and drew one game - I scored 11 goals!)

More SATS revision - we had to do another mental maths test (I got 20 out of 20).

Wednesday, March 06, 2013

Today I maths we did some SAT questions it was really hard because they were level 6 questions and most of them didn't make any sense.
We had to do big writing today and I didn't quite finish it so I was a tiny bit disappointed.
In science we did all about forces and we had to watch these videos about it and we all had to miss our playtime.

Tuesday, March 05, 2013

Today in maths we had to do a practice SAT paper and I finished in about 20 minutes so I had loads of time to check it.
Then in literacy we did stuff about the verb, the object and the subject in sentences which was really easy.
Our topic lesson was really good as well because all we did was listen to some people in our classes favorite music.

Monday, March 04, 2013

Today we did a literacy test and Mr Bradley was away and Mrs Giles had to teach us - it scared me a bit. I scored a goal in football because Molly was in net and then she switched teams and passed me the ball to score - which was a bit cheaty!

We found out about our residential trip - it sounds epic!

Friday, March 01, 2013

Hi. Today in literacy we did big writing and we had to write a guide of how to look after and animal called the miptor. I really enjoyed it.

In maths we had to mark our maths test and it didn't take long because I only got one wrong.
Then in PE we started our new sport for the term  because were doing basket ball now.

Wednesday, February 27, 2013

Today we did a mental maths test - I got 19 out of 20 but that's because I was under pressure on the last question! We did e-safety stuff too which was a bit scary and weird. I scored a goal today - in fact 2 goals; one in football and one in netball.

Monday, February 25, 2013

Hi!
Today's the first day back at school after the holidays and I can admit it wasn't the best day ever. First we had maths and because our SAT's are coming up soon so were doing revision in booster which is really boring. I was really happy when Mrs Morrish said that we were doing symmetry because it's my favorite topic in maths but we had to do rotation and translation as well. In addition we had to do questions from previous SAT papers for the questions so I hated it.

We missed English and did topic instead and found out our new topic. Unfortunately it was pop music and that sort of thing so we have to make our own song which I going to hate. Last year me, Summer and some other people in my class tried to come up with a song and we literally got nowhere in about weeks worth of lessons but we didn't have to read it out to the teacher or the class so know-one ever found out. So anyway all we did was listen to music from like the 90's and all our table just messed around a lot.

The road safety person came in today and as usual it was just an hour of listening to someone and then having to do a stupid activity and wish you were somewhere else. This time the activity was asking if we could add road safety stuff onto roads on our area what would we buy and why.

Once all that was over I was very happy when we finally got to doing PE. But after all the expectations it turns out that all we're doing is dances from music videos and making up actions to put in dances. It's meant to be linked into our topic because you have to dance in music videos. But we got to do gangnam style which was really fun.

Friday, February 15, 2013

I was in the special book today because of my athletics and graffiti art, but I told Mr Rowney that I didn't like him for putting me in the book because it was a bit embarrassing. An MP came to see us in assembly too, so not a member of parliament knows I'm brilliant and running!

I finished off my graffiti thing today too.

Thursday, February 14, 2013

Today in English we had to film short, silent movies and I really didn't enjoy it because I hate acting, the absolute worst thing in  the world. But after lunch we did PE and we did a load of different games and my team won. Then for the rest of the afternoon all we did was draw graffiti logos and mess about a bit.

Wednesday, February 13, 2013

Hello everyone! Today we had these police people come and talk to us about Facebook but it was really boring because they did exactly the same last year (same stories and everything). This afternoon though we did rugby in the snow on the field - it was full contact so we got really soaked.

I finished my tag for the graffiti thing (for display week) and it looks really cool. But today we had to go home early because it was snowing - it was a pretty strange day all in all.

Tuesday, February 12, 2013

Today I have to do my blog really quickly - we're doing Banksey as our display project, so we all had to do graffiti tags. Mr Rowney said mine was really good. It was pancake day today too - Mr Collier did an assembly with pancakes, but they kept on dropping everywhere.

Friday, February 08, 2013

Today I got the results for my maths test - I got 96% which wasn't bad (I got a 5a so I'm going to do a level 6 test). Lots of football today as well and that's about it!

Thursday, February 07, 2013

Today I played full contact rugby! I got to tackle Molly! It was brilliant. We played ultimate Frisbee too - what a day!

In maths I did a practice SAT test- I got 20 out of 20.

Tuesday, February 05, 2013

Sorry I didn't blog yesterday but I didn't have time because I went to an athletics competition after school and didn't get back until late. Our team came last, but I came first in the triple jump and the 6 lap relay and second in the 2 lap race.

We finished our DT project today - our moving hot-dog dog; it's epic!

Thursday, January 31, 2013

Today we did probability again in maths - it's really boring because there are no numbers in it. I couldn't understand the way Mrs Morish was marking it. Mr Rowney was in a bad mood today for some reason so it wasn't much fun. We didn't do ICT (I don't like what we're doing in ICT at the moment - its too easy - it's like Year 2 work!)

We got to listen to Adam Ant today - it was weird because he was talking about a dandy highwayman.

Wednesday, January 30, 2013

Today in maths we had to do probability and it was really boring and I really didn't enjoy it. Then after we did English and we did a reading test and for the record I HATE READING TESTS!!!!!!!
But this afternoon made up for it because we did DT and we did loads with it so I was really happy.

Monday, January 28, 2013

Today in English we a spelling test and then we did handwriting practice so it was a bit boring. Then we did French - we had to record us saying stuff (in French). We did PE as well - we played bench ball.

I told Mr Rowney about how I did in yesterday's athletics - I came first in the 6 lap relay and third in triple jump; and that's for the whole of Yorkshire!

Wednesday, January 23, 2013

Hi. Today was much better than yesterday - even though we had to do stupid poetry. Poetry is the worst thing there is because it doesn't make any sense because it's like:

'The road was a ribbon of moonlight'
'And the moon tossed like a ghostly galleon'
'On the stormy seas'

What does that even mean!

Nothing really happened today, but we did start these robotic cars, and we got to do a hot-dog dog with little legs that moves!

Tuesday, January 22, 2013

Today school started at ten o clock because of the snow and school was canceled yesterday because of it. We didn't really do much today because we did all the usual stuff like maths and English and then we did topic. At first we were all really exiting because we had to plan a model of a car but Mr Rowney said that we were doing it tomorrow. On top of that I'm in a group with the person in my class that I hate the most.
Then we did my worst lesson off all, french, and I hardly did anything because there was nothing to do in my group.

It definitely wasn't the best day ever.

Friday, January 18, 2013

Mr Rowney was in a dress today. He was being all the characters from The Highwayman (but not all at the same time). It made me feel a bit awkward.

Thursday, January 17, 2013

Today in English we had to do more stuff about the highwayman and it was really easy.I'm not really enjoying  English at the moment but today it was alright.

In PE we had to play cricket outside in the freezing cold weather.

Wednesday, January 16, 2013

Today I told Mr Rowney that I had been selected for the athletics and he was really happy and told all the other teachers - even Mrs Giles! We did art today (a scene from The Highwayman) and I really liked mine - I did it all in charcoal and chalk.

Tuesday, January 15, 2013

Oh my God! I've been selected for the 11 and under athletics team for the whole of West Yorkshire!

Today we did our experiments with the circuits - but it was really easy so it only took about 10 minutes. In maths we did something that I can't remember so lets move on... I did netball training today ready for the contest on Thursday (that we are going to win).

Monday, January 14, 2013

I'm sorry I didn't blog on Friday, but I was tired so I just went to bed. Today in maths, Mrs Morrish was teaching us about adding and subtracting decimals, but it was really boring because she was in a bad mood. I had my athletics yesterday and told Mr Rowney about it - not sure how I did yet; I think we get a letter or an email about it later on.

We did PE today and we got all the apparatus out and acted like complete buffoons.

Thursday, January 10, 2013

Today in maths we were doing percentages and it was really easy. But Mrs Morrish was having a go at my group because we're "to noisy and don't get on with enough work.

Anyway, in English we had to say what some of the phrases in the highwayman and that was easy as well.

This afternoon a school teacher from Farnley academy did PE with us and it was really fun because she wasn't treating us as if we were babys.

Tuesday, January 08, 2013

Today Molly was trying to help me practice for athletics trials that I've got on Sunday - it was really fun because no one was in our way and if anyone was looking at us we would get them to try triple jump and they couldn't even do it.

We were doing RE (although it was nothing to do with religion). We did about role models; and she said that some teachers aren't very approachable - she could have been talking about herself!

Monday, January 07, 2013

Today was the first day back at school. In maths we did decimals but it was really hard because Mrs Morish didn't explain anything! We did PE and because hardly anyone had brought in their PE kit, we just played handball in our school uniforms - the girls was almost victorious!
