We had our party yesterday - it was awesome. Today was our last day of term - we watched Coroline which was seriously good and then we watched Alvin and the Chipmunks and then we did some carols in the hall (and the teachers sang for us too - lol). Then we got loads of sweets and went home - brill day!

I didn't do my blog yesterday but I can't remember what I did. Today we went to the church - I had to read something in front of the whole school in church! This afternoon we finished off our masks and things then we played a game called fish fruit flower where Miss finds a letter in a book and you have to think of a word that fits in to about eight categories - its quite a good game!

This morning we had maths and had a mental maths test (I wanted to tell Mr Rowney that it was mental doing the mental maths test, but I didn't). I got 17 out of 20 (it was a year 6 test). After that we did some algebra and a divide sum in algebra. We watched the nursery nativity after that - it was so cute - they were singing all the time. After lunch we finished our Christmas cards and then watched the Receptions nativity. Lily (the little girl who fell asleep) was a duck and went quack quack - it was so cute.

I didn't blog yesterday, so here goes; we had athletics and we WON!!!! I won one of the races and one of the field events too.

Today we had an inter-school maths quiz, we only got one questions wrong, but we didn't get in the top 3. I got my medal from yesterday's athletics though!

Today we watched the Key Stage 1 Christmas performance and one of the receptions fell asleep during it - it was so cute. We did our Greek masks - all I have to do now is cut it out - mine is going to be tricky with all that snake hair!

I got chosen today for an inter-school maths quiz! It's on Friday at the high school and tomorrow I've got the athletics. Busy, busy me!

We did our play this evening - mom and dad say they really enjoyed it!

Today we did some training for the athletics which is on Thursday and I missed a little bit of work because of that - which is a pity because it was about ancient Greek architecture which is one of my favourite topics.

We did our Christmas play today in front of the parents! It went very well and all the teachers said we did really well - the parents laughed 16 times (I counted). We had maths - we did stuff (but no writing in our books).

We did our play today in front of the whole of key stage 1. I went up in assembly as well to show my swimming certificates and one of the reception children shouted 'Nadia!'.

We did maths with loads of stuff with shapes.

Today we did our play - we're doing it in front of key stage 1 tomorrow and Mr Rowney said today's practice was the best so far. This afternoon we did singing practice ready for the choir service. We had maths today too and I got three sweets! We made ancient Greek masks today - I didn't finished mine because it is too complicated; I'm doing the Medusa (too many snakes).

Yesterday was my party - we went ice skating and went to TGI Fridays and today we all talked about it.

Today we had a mental maths test - I got the best score in the class with 16 out of 20, but I didn't get a sweet! We did comprehension too (the worst thing ever in school - who invented comprehension?)

Today wasn't a very lessony day - first we went to assembly and listened to Miss Brazel's class assembly - then we went to maths and did four days of lessons in one day (we each got 5 team points and a sweet for working so hard). Then we practised our CLC stuff ready for tomorrow.

After lunch we practised the play until home time!

ITS MY BIRTHDAY TOMORROW!!!

First I did singing 'la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-laaaaaa'. Then we had to go back into the hall to do more singing (for the Christmas play). Then we did drama - we are learning about Pandora's Box; there were only a few of us because most people had to go out to do their assessment again. I was the narrator for the Pandora's Box thing and I got an extra clap. After that is was lunch (I looked after the receptions again and it was chaos), and after lunch we did some French - we did the weather in French.

After French we did some more work in our Greek vases and finally we did topic - it was really fun because Mrs Morrish had put out some pictures of ancient Greek stuff and you had to work out what the story was.

Today we started to design an ancient Greek vase which was cool. We also didn't do maths because we were practising the Christmas show instead (we went through it all). We did science - we set up an experiment to see which material muffles sound the most - we're going to do the experiment tomorrow - our group thinks it will be bubble wrap.

We did a literacy assessment today about a dream teacher - mine was Usain Bolt. In maths we had to move the tables into a big rectangle with an open centre so that we could have a look at the test we did - afterwards, me, Summer, Ellie and Suzan had to put all the tables back to the right places and Mr Rowney said we could all have a sweet afterwards, but he left us and said we could choose a sweet while he was gone. We spent about 15 minutes choosing which sweet to have.

Today it was weird because first we went into maths and we usually go to assembly first, but we did maths for a bit then assembly then maths again - weird! In maths we answered puzzle questions out of this book and they were really good. One of the questions was someone had some eggs; they had less than 30, and when they put them in piles of 7 there were 3 left over and when they put them in piles of 3 there were 2 eggs left over - we had to work out how many eggs there were.

Today I had singing and we found out our scores on the maths test - I got 27 which was one of the best. We did abut the ancient Greeks and how they worshipped and we didn't do literacy because we did the calendar people instead (ready for the school calendar).

No maths! Instead we did some art where we did stop-motion animation - we drew a plan of what we were going to do and we did one space ship which Snookie is going to go in.

Sound! We did about sound in topic - and I went on the computer to find out about ancient Greece.

Today in maths we did Test B and you could use a calculator, a mirror and protractor. We did a reading test as well which was evil buy easy. We did about ancient Greek gods too - we had to write about them all.

Today I was in the special book for working hard all the time! Today we did art and we started our new topic which is making animation like Wallis and Gromit or Morph. We didn't have maths because some people went to the CLC.

We wrote a poem about colour today too - I did green.

Today we did the athletics - we came first. I did the one lap race, the two lap race, obstacle and chest throw - I came first in three of my events and second in the other one.

In maths we did a SATS test to see what level we are likely to be on when we finish primary school.

Today was out class assembly - it was about remembrance Sunday (or poppy day). During playtime the people who are doing the athletics (e.g. me) had to go to the hall and practice field events. I didn't think I could do the javelin so I didn't choose that, but I had a little go and I got it the whole length of the hall! I'm doing chest throw, obstacle race and one lap race - that's tomorrow!

In maths we did a test and I got an algebra question right - I was really proud of myself.

Today Miss Evens was in - we did two spelling tests and in maths we did range, mode, median and mean. We did loads of examples.

Today in literacy we went to the ICT suite to write out our biography of Tchaikovsky. In maths we did pie charts but we were meant to do a times tables test which I would have liked more because I don't have to do the times tables tests because I always get them all right! But we didn't get the test because we started maths late, and we started maths late because today was our performance assembly!

Mom and dad came to watch me sing in the choir - it was really good!

We went to CLC today and did we got pictures off the internet and did them in sequence - we managed to merge them in and add music and that - next time we're going to do green screen.

I went to gymnastics club today but the normal teacher wasn't there because she broke her arm!

Today I drew a picture of a French horn - it was very complicated. I also drew a picture of a nut cracker (although we were only supposed to do one thing and I did two).

And I found out that I've been chosen for the athletics! We've got a tournament next Thursday.

Today I had to draw a picture about a violin but I got taken out and had to talk about Koosh with Mrs Giles. And in maths Mr Rowney told us that he had been arguing with Miss Evens as to whether something was discrete data or continuous data - I agreed with Mr Rowney.

Today I drew a picture of a ballerina and wrote the nut cracker.

I did my dinner job again and this one little boy hugged me all the time!

Today is my first day back at school! First in maths we did handling data and we were doing bar charts. After that we did literacy and we did about descriptive poems. But the best thing today was that I started my lunch duty jobs. I had to look after the reception children and take them down to the playground and monitor them.

Today we were finishing things off - I did my French book and my space book and my space presentation and my slide show. It was Miss Brazel's assembly today - she was my teacher last year and I've been telling her about my netball, so during the assembly she called us to the front to give us our netball certificates for winning the latest netball matches. When we get back from half term we are going to do athletics trials and I've got into the gymnastics club!

Today in maths I got 4 team points because me and Summer got this really hard parameter sum right so we got a team point each, and then we had three more questions and you had to split it into isosceles triangles and we finished them first so we got three team points each. We did big writing today too - it was the dreaded thing today - our task was to write a letter to the information services because we had seen an amazing creature and we were asking them to identify it.

Netball today - and we came first! Anyway, at proper school we tried astronaut food - astronaut ice-cream and astronaut strawberries. The ice-cream was hard and the strawberries were critic, so not the best.

We had to make a presentation about eclipses - I think we have almost finished but because I had to leave early to get ready for netball I'm not sure. We had a spelling test too - I got ten out of ten again.

We didn't do Friday's blog because I had a sleep over party on Friday so didn't have time - but I can't remember what we did at school! Today in numeracy we did a times table test and because I got them all right two weeks in a row for the next test we just get to play maths games. In literacy we did ICT - we had to copy down some pages from your information book.

Today it was Mr Rowney's class assembly and they did about Africa and all the way through it I was just thinking I should bring my Ghanian outfit in if I was in that class. Then we did maths and Miss Geldard was there and we did about square numbers and what numbers go into other numbers (factors). We wrote the method for a science experiment as well - we get to shine a torch at some card - it's well cool.

Today we had singing and Miss Duffy was a bit more serious that before and we had to practice again and again and again. We had maths too and Summer got a chocolate button - it wasn't fair. We did a spelling test and I got 10 out of 10 - that four weeks in a row so I got a team point! We did double topic today too - we were doing our last question in the topic which was how to we see the moon, but we did mirrors for most of the lesson. We had a list of things to do but we finished really early so we did loads of our own experiments with the mirrors.

What did we do today?

Well, in maths we did a mental maths test - it was really hard - I got 15 out of 20 which was quite good. I got 2 team points for my literacy homework. In French we're making our own little booklet about the planets 'le système solaire'.

Yesterday I didn't do my blog, but all I want to say is about the netball tournament I did after school because it was really exciting. I saw my friend from street dancing there - Holly, and her team and our team came joint first! Today we did the draw - I'm sat next to Fay now who is quite good. We went to CLC today and wrote our own computer game which was really really cool.

Two day's blog today, but I don't remember what we did yesterday, so one day's blog today! We did netball practice today and we got our netball kit too! We've got our first match tomorrow. Yesterday we did big writing - I've just remembered! We wrote a diary about going into space as an astronaut.

Wow - today has been fabulous! I got chosen for the netball tournament this Thursday!!! We did our audio tour today - we've started our new topic 'formal and informal writing' and the audio tour was part of it.

Today it was the harvest festival - we went to the church but it was a bit weird because I couldn't see the board where the words to the songs were written. We did rounders in PE and I went to netball club after school - I'm the scorer.

I didn't blog yesterday, so here's two blogs in one....

Yesterday we had singing - it was really good; there are about 20 of us and we practised one song. Today in maths we did a mental maths test (I got 16/20 and a team point). I got my target in literacy today too.

Today I found out that I have been chosen for the singing! There are only about 8 of us from year 5 that were chosen so I'm really pleased! And we did ICT because we've started out new literacy topic (we finished journalistic writing) - we are now doing formal and informal writing and we had to make a poster on the computer.

Today I took my dress in and showed it in assembly. We had literacy today (but we missed maths becasue Mr Bradley's class was going to the CLC trip. We didn't do any literacy in literacy though - we just marked some people's work. I got a level 5 for my punctuation.

Today we did singing practice - it was like an audition; it was fun though. In maths we did round up answers and in topic we did about the weather and what the weather was like in different countries. I said I would prefer the weather in Singapore.

In maths today we did a mental maths test - there were some really really hard questions - I mean really hard! There was one question that the teacher couldn't even do (for a bit). In literacy we did big writing - writing up our news paper report about the Space Shuttle Discovery being launched in 2006 - we had to watch a clip of the launch before we wrote it.

Today we did double topic - first we had to do a paragraph about why the sun rises in our own words and then we had to draw a diagram of it. Then we had to do a line graph on the sun rising and setting in Sydney and in London.

Today I did an assessment - we do one every three weeks apparently. I'm on level 4b which is really good. In maths we did grid multiplication and it was really because the teacher made a grid on the carpet with masking tape. Me, Suzan and Maisie finished first so we had to clear it all up with was fun.

We listened to this story today - it was about a French alien - it was really funny. We did symbols about every day stuff like the 'don't iron' symbol and the poison symbol.

Today we painted our model rocket - blue with red fins and black dots; it looks really good now. We had to type up our nursery rhyme newspaper article too - they are going up on the wall.

Today we went to the IMAX museum in Bradford - it was great! We saw a film about the Hubble space telescope and the Space Shuttle, and looked around the museum. We got to watch Mr Benn and The Wombles. We looked at the the rooms and one room had a blue screen and it was really good because it looked as though there were dinosaurs behind me!

We went into this other room and it had loads of mirrors and thermal imaging devices and it had a shadow catcher.

Today we created a piece of music based on the Planet Suite by Holst we did mars and had to make it a bit war-ie so we did loads of drums and that

Today we did DT (design technology) and we had to design a space vehicle. Summers just looked like an alien with massive cute eyes - mine was more like a space shuttle.

Today we did our first PHSCE lesson of the year. Our topic is symbolic religion - we had to draw the symbols of the top religions.In literacy we did direct speech and recorded speech and we had some sentences and we had to identify whether they were recoded speech or direct speech and write them again using the opposite.

Today the dress I designed came in the post, so I took it into school to show in assembly, but Mrs Geldard told me that someone is coming to the school on Monday to present me with a certificate! We had ICT today - we had to play some games on e-safety and design a poster on the computer. We had PE as well today - we played dodge-ball.

Today we had PE and it was really fun because we had to practice using a hockey stick and pass the ball to each other really quickly. Then we did topic (more about space) - we had draw a diagram of the earth orbiting the sun and the moon orbiting the earth and we had to do a demonstration with someone pretending to be the sun, someone the earth and someone the moon - it was very confusing.

Today I cam third in my fashion competition. I know that isn't school, but still... I have still won £100 though!

At school we had proper lessons today (not like yesterday's), we did numeracy in a different class - I'm on the top table for year 5s. Then we had literacy - our new topic is journalistic writing; we had to wrote the first paragraph in a newspaper story. And in topic we had to find out the length of the year on each of the planets in the solar system.

Today was the first day back at school! And my first day in year 5!

It was really exciting today because I've got a new teacher and I wasn't sure what to make of her, but she is really nice! Until playtime today Miss talked to us about the new things now we are in year 5 like our diary yearbooks and we had to write things in it that Miss put on the board. She told us about the boxes on our tables. I'm sitting next to a boy called Sam - he is in year 6 now and he is quite nice (but I would prefer to sit next to Jake or Summer).

After break we had to interview the person next to us and write about them (I was with Sam) and finished mine but I have to write it up. Then it was lunch time (I sat next to Summer and Stevie). But I was called in to see Mrs Giles this afternoon - Mr Bradley called my out of my class and said that Mrs Giles wanted to see me and asked me if I had been naughty. Mrs Giles just wanted to see me about a competition I had entered - Yorkshire Young Fashion Designer 2011 - I've won my age category and the overall winner will be chosen tomorrow.

Our new topic in this class is space and next Thursday we are going to the IMAX to see a film about space, but today we had to do a diagram of the solar system with the colours of the planets and their size and distance from the sun.

Today was the last day of school and I'm really going to miss Summer. It was toy day today - I brought in a 3d maze thing and dad's old rotadraws (they should be in a museum - I'm surprised their not fossilised).

We watched a movie called Coraline - it was really freaky!

Today, my maths lesson was the most awesome maths lesson ever! We ate chocolates, we did a Mexican wave and we high-fived each other! It was my last ever maths lesson in year 4! We did some of our Tudor tales and did some reading too.

It was our assembly today - we forgot a couple of things (we forgot one of the rhymes we were supposed to do), and we started to sing at one point and someone started their line just after we started. It was the year 6s leaving assembly today too because its only two more days until we finish this year and I have to go upstairs to year 5.

We had to write about our dream holiday and I wrote about a holiday in a jungle and I slept under a waterfall in a cave (with my hammock).

Today we made a newspaper - we wrote it down in our books and then typed it up on the computer (I just finished mine). I wrote an article about Sir Francis Drake returning from his voyage. In maths we did about quantities of fractions - I didn't like them but I got them all done.

3. Practice assembly - it's our class assembly (or should I say our Tudor presentation) on Wednesday; I have to read out my fascinating fact and probably my Tudor tale (but probably not my Tudor tale).

On Friday it was too late to do my blog, and on Saturday I forgot, so I'm doing it today. I can't remember much so I'll only say it was performance assembly and someone was doing an act and did a head spin and hurt his head and Miss Geldard had to take him out of the performance. And I got onto free reading! Which means I've finished all the reading levels - it was my goal to reach free reading before year 5 and I did it!

Today was sports day - I won both my races (hurdles and long distance), but our team (green team ) came last. It was epic - I even got to hold Mr Collier's phone when he did the teacher's race!

We had to write a recount of yesterday's trip too - it's going to be in our folders when we leave the school.

Today was our class trip - we went to Temple Newsam. Is was awesome! I dressed up as Lady Isabel (that was the poshest dress there was - I wanted to buy it and take it home). We played truth and lies; we were given a Tudor object and told what it was and we had to think of two other things that it could be - we had a candle holder which collected the wax and we said that it could be a torture machine or a toe nail clipper.

We went on the farm too - I saw these ducks and I thought about dad's pet duck 'roast'. After that we went to the adventure playground and I had a go on the zip wire.

Today in maths I didn't do maths! We were organising who would do each event in sports day instead. I'm doing hurdles and the long distance race. In literacy I can't remember what we did , but in science we did about springs - we did a fact find on the computer. In ICT we had to find out facts about Tudor explorers.

Today in maths we did equivalant fractions. I finished all the questions so I got a team point - that's my 170 billionth team point!
In literacy I carried on with my Tudor tale and it is a bit harder than I thought as I'm getting destracted with all the breaks in it.

Two days blog again today. Yesterday - I can't remember what I did yesterday, but I do know that I stayed in at lunch time to do some more of my Tudor tale. Today I stayed in at lunch time to finish my Tudor tale, so all I've got to do now is re write it in my best handwriting in a booklet.

Today was Tudor day so all day we did stuff about Tudors (apart from maths), but instead of doing different activities we didn't get our Tudor fact file finished so we did that all day and it was fun (because I like the Tudor fact file).

Today we had to silently read - I finished my book and got onto a new one; the book I finished was scary and the one I'm on how is stupid.

In maths we did division sums and tomorrow we're doing times tables (I don't like division - I can do them, but I don't like them). In literacy we had to try and finish our Tudor stories, but I still didn't finish so I have to cary on tomorrow.

Today in maths we had to do a mental maths test (I got 14 out of 15) and then one of Mr Collier's spicy meatball tests - I got 9 out of 9.

We had a new girl today and after play time we had to go up to the hall so that we could find out who's class we are in next year and the new girl is in the same class as me and Summer.

I got my report today - I was really scared that I had got a C in French and I wasn't allowed to open it in Koosh so I had to wait for mom and dad to see what I got - luckily I got a B in French and an A in everything else which isn't bad (I got a few Bs for effort though).

I had to draw and label some Tudor artifacts and because I finished so early I got to do a fact find on the computer about all the Tudor kings and queens, but I only got as far as Henry VII.

Yesterday I didn't do my blog again - and because it's late I can't remember what I did!

Today we had PE and we were practising for sports day - I did the running, throwing, long distance run, skipping race and football dribbling. I wanted to do the hurdles, but they don't do the hurdles.

I didn't blog on Friday - and I can't remember much of what I did, but I do remember a bit of my maths. We went outside and we did an experiment about how many times we could sprint back and forth within 10 seconds. Mr Collier told us what to do and I was the one chosen to demonstrate.

Today in maths we did a bar chart and a split line graph on the sprinting results - I did five sprints and Mr Collier did one! In literacy we had to carry on with our stories - we did out story plan and a little bit of work on out stories, but we did other work then before we did any more work on it so we had to carry on from the point where we were and finish the page and then go to a completely different page to continue our stories!

Today in maths we had to do a tally chart and then a bar chart of the favourite topic this year - the most popular was Ancient Egypt (but I chose the Tudors). Then Mr Colliet said he had put two thermometers up in school for us to check the temperature. My job is to check then at 11am - one of them said 42 degrees and the other was 22 degrees.

We did loads of art today so there isn't much more to say.

Today was Spirit Alive! It was really fun because I was part of the organising committee so I had to do a dance (I was a leader in the dance with Molly) and straight after the dancing I had to say my lines to start the sports.

The first thing we did was 10 pin bowling (our team got 67 points) and after that we did running - I got the fastest time in year 4. Then it was playtime and then we did high jump (only year 3 and year 6 did that) and then dancing; we got extra points because we spelt out 'Spain' in our dance (which is the team we were in).

After lunch we did football, hockey and netball and after that it was the award ceremony. The spirit alive organising committee got a voucher for JJB sports, and our team came third in the events and we got the best sportsmanship award.

I didn't do a blog on Friday, but I can't remember what I did, so we'll go straight onto today. This week is art week, so instead of reading, I painted - instead of literacy, I painted - instead of science, I painted and we did ICT where we had to design our own virtual bedroom on the computer.

Today in maths it was really fun because we got to go outside with a trundle wheel and we got to measure the playground and the allotment - and I like saying 'trundle wheel'. In l had to write the setting of our story and Miss said mine was really good because I had tried to use an Old English type of language.

Two days worth of blogging today. Yesterday I did some stuff about triangles (measuring the angles) and today we measured isosceles triangles (the triangles only had one angle showing and we had to work out what the other two angles would be.

Well, today - you know I've been doing Spirit Alive - today we did the assembly to say which team we're in and what teacher we have. I'm in Spain team with Miss Hutchins (I think). I had to draw out all of the countries too and we had to draw out some numbers as well; I wasn't too such what was going on to be honest (because we hadn't rehearsed).

We had PE today after lunch and the cleaners hadn't cleaned up so it was horrible on the floor in the hall. They had cleaned up the big bits like sandwiches that had been thrown on the floor by people who don't like their sandwiches, but there were loads of little bits like mushy peas that were disgusting - I didn't want to be there!

Today instead of literacy we did PE - we were going to do it outside but then it started raining, so we were just about to get changed when the people who brought the equipment down (i.e. me) said there was no one in the hall so we did PE in the hall.

Today we had our first Spirit Alive meeting, and my job is to choose the counties that each class will represent!

Today in maths we had to try and work out what the missing angle was - it was really easy and I got up to question 14 in five minutes! In literacy we had to do a character description of the characters in the book we are reading. I didn't hear the start of the book because I was doing my register duty.

I forgot to do my blog yesterday, so here goes. Yesterday in maths we learned how to use protractors to measure angles. In literacy we did something, but I can't remember what it was (we might have written a story about Tudors).

Today in maths we did some more work on protractors and this time we actually had to measure stuff - I got all of mine right. We did big writing today too - we had to write about our holiday, but miss told us we had to make up what we did - I said I fell down a hole and ended up in a magical jungle. We did science after that - we started out new topic which is forces (we've already done some work on forces, but Miss Brazel said we need to do some more work on forces).

In ICT we finished off our work on Henry's six wives and miss read out our names and told us what we had done wrong in our big writing and however well we did, she found a problem which made us all disappointed.

Today was weird. We did our mentoring, but the person I mentor wasn't in today so I had to have Theo (he's cute). And then we did our homework and did literacy instead of maths (we had to copy out our Tudor letters). Then it was maths (I won another £21,000 which was a bonus).

In the afternoon we staying in some of the lunch break and because the year 3's had gone to the heptathlon, all the year 4s had to go to Miss McDowel's classroom and Miss Robinson had to teach all three classes of the year 4's (poor woman).

In literacy we ran around, skipping and batting because literacy had been replaced with PE! All me Summer and Daniel did was play really because we could choose what we wanted to do. In maths I won £1 million (which was quite good) and in topic we had to do a hierarchy showing the richest people and poorest people in Tudor times.

Today was great! Because we got to go on the computers in maths to type up the quizzes we wrote yesterday, and in literacy we had to write a letter as if we were a Tudor character writing a letter to our mom.

This afternoon we had to finish off our science project about the growth of plants. The one with no leaves had got to the same height as the one with leaves.

This week is maths week, so in maths we are doing lots of fun things (except Friday because that's a training day). We had to come up with our own 'Who Wants to be a Millionaire' questions, but with maths problems. It was really fun.

In literacy we had to do comprehension - we got our new targets too (I'm happy with mine).

Today in literacy we wrote a letter to a school in Vietnam. We all worked in a group and got ideas so that Miss could put all the ideas together to make one big letter. It was quite fun.

In maths we had to do measuring problems and I did every single one and got every single one right!

In theme work we had to do what poor people would wear - it was quite fun because we had to write down what the poor people would wear and compare it with what the rich people wore.

Today I had lots of fun in our work - in maths all we had to do was metric units and me, Summer and Maisie were in the the same group and Summer didn't get it, so me and Maisie just did them (we showed her how to do them though).

In literacy we had to write a character description of all the people in the book we have been reading and I moved up a level in reading today (level 12) - next it's free reading! In our Tudor work we had to draw a picture of a rich Tudor showing the clothes they would wear - I did Elizabeth I but it was so detailed I didn't manage to finish it (so I will try and finish it another day).

Yesterday I didn't do my blog (I don't know why), so I'm doing it today. Yesterday I wrote a Tudor menu and that's all I can remember. Today we copied out the Tudor menu onto a neat piece of paper and illustrated it. I've just about finished the king's menu - I just need to do the servant's menu. In maths we did timetables (which was fun). Because two other classes were outside doing PE we had to miss PE - we did PHSCE instead. We were saying thank you to staff members who we take for granted - I did massive bubble letters saying 'thank you' to Miss Brown for helping me with maths.

This morning I went to the dentist - I was only there for a few seconds. He looked at my teeth and said 'perfect' and that was it!

Today in maths we did a times table test and we had to do a couple of time problems (we're going to do more tomorrow). In PE we were doing Tudor dance - we started in a group of 6 with 2 girls and four boys, but the boys were playing up so we had to stop early.

Today was a very good day because we didn't have to do any more SATS! (But the year 5 and 6's did). The bad thing was the year 5 and 6's got a party on the afternoon - mind you, our afternoon work was pretty good too.

In maths we got to make up our own mental maths test; me and Maisie worked together to make it - and we read it out to the whole class and they had to do the test! We even said 'thank you for your honest marks' at the end (just like the tape says). I got 2 team points because of it!

This afternoon we did history - we did about Henry VIII's wives. We had to answer questions in a table like 'when did Henry die?' and then we did something for the display; we drew our own pictures of Henry's six wives - I'm doing all six; I've got to finish them off (I've only done the first two).

Today it was our literacy writing assessment - we had to write about if we were at the South Pole filming a documentary about the South Pole and what we would do there. I think I did pretty well.

We did a science experiment today - quite interesting because at the start of the day we got some celery and some water and red food die and we put the dye in the water and then the celery in the water and some hours later the leaves had gone a different colour and miss snapped open the celery and you could see the dots where the dye had passed through. In science we had to work on the computer in pairs and find out what was happening!

Today when I walked into class is was really different because Miss had changed all the seats around and put all our test books on the tables so that one two people can sit at each end of a table and each table had one year 3 and one year 4 so they couldn't copy! It was ingenious.

We did our test sheet then we went out to play and after play time we had to do another test (before play it was fiction and after play it was non-fiction.This afternoon we did ICT, but all we had to do was type some stuff and read some stuff.

Today Summer went to a cricket torrential so she wasn't there to play or sit next to me for the whole day which was boring - but at least Daniel was in. Because people were away for the cricket we didn't have our test - we are starting our tests tomorrow. In maths we did word problems and we had a times tables test as well.

In literacy we had to .... errr..... I can't remember. But in PE I had to work with Daniel to play tennis.

Today - I loved my afternoon lesson. We had a debate about what was going on in the news and what we thought about them and we discussed about Bin Laden being killed and we made lots and lots of interesting points.

Today was a really good day because it's my dad's birthday! My mentoring wasn't on so I did reading instead, and in maths we did word problems (rounding up and down word problems).

I won a pencil today for my Royal Wedding dress design that I did last week.

Yesterday we did a test in maths - I got them all right; it was a practice for the test in May. We did some writing things practising our targets (and it was serious targets).

Today in maths we marked the work we did yesterday, and we did a mental maths test (I got them all right too). In literacy we had to write an assessment about riding on a magic carpet and going anywhere we wanted - I did ancient Egypt and Summer did modern day Egypt.

We had a royal wedding day today! Well, first, we had a lesson about the Tudors and learned about the Tudor rose - Summer and I had to get some information from the computer about it. Then we printed some roses out and coloured them in. After that we looked at the family tree of the current royals. After that we designed our own monographs. The it was lunch time

After lunch we went to assembly and the special treat was that all the teachers had to sing 'We're going to get married'. After that it we did royal wedding activities - I designed a wedding dress; I did a college for mine and made it a bit 3d. Summer did guard training and had to do press ups.

Then we went outside for a picnic and did a competition for the best outfit and Summer won from our class (she had odd rugby socks).

Today - first we had register and then we had assembly - Mr Collier was doing it; it was all about the royal wedding. After that we went into maths and did the written method of division and then we went out to play and after that we did the second part of our test and I'm going to find out how I did tomorrow - I really hope I did well!

We had lunch after that and me and Summer played together and then after lunch, Miss asked us what activities we wanted to do during tomorrows street party for the royal wedding. One of the activities was design the wedding dress, but I didn't put my hand up, but Miss said 'Nadia - I thought that would be right up your street' so I said alright I'll do it!

In PE we did tennis.

Today in literacy we had a test - it was easy, all we had to do was read some text and answer a couple of questions. In maths we had to do the written method of multiplication and tomorrow we have to do long division - I don't like long division.

We played on the field today and tomorrow we're on the field twice (but I don't really go on the field).

Today it's our last day at school for this week because tomorrow it's Easter Friday. In maths we did the written method of subtraction. After play we did topic and in topic we had to do a time line about all the british events we knew - I got to use my kings and queens book.

Today in maths we did the written method of addition again! I had a test in literacy; I think I did quite well - we had to write a setting in 40 minutes. The test was the same as the year 6's, but they get 20 minutes.

We made an Easter basket today and tomorrow the Easter bunny is probably going to come; they always do a brown footprint on one of the tables, but I've never understood how it walked in without leaving any other footprints!

Today we started our Tudor topic. We had to do a pre-topic assessment; that's where we have to write down everything we know about our topic and after that we had to go into the computer suite and find the answers to some questions about the Tudors. It was really easy so I finished in about ten minutes.

We did a pre-topic assessment about plants too, and then we had to do a diagram of a plant and label it and write a couple of sentences about it.

First day back today! In numeracy we did basic things like fractions and decimals and I did 48 questions. In literacy we had to do a recount about our favourite part of our holiday - I wrote about the steam train we went on. After lunch we did PE - I forgot my PE kit so I had to borrow Summers. We had to practive our assembly too, so PE was only about 5 minutes long!

In PHSCE we just listened to the Easter story, so I'm guessing we will have to write it in our own words (like we have to every single year!)

I got two gifts today; a bracelet from Egypt which Bethany gave me, and another bracelet which Nichol gave me.

I made a card for mom today - and I won an Oscar; just the usual day at school. I wrote a poem too. My Oscar was for best storyline for the film we did earlier this week.

We had a quiz in maths which was fun because we made the quiz questions up ourselves.

Today we finished our models. Our clown looks really good - we coloured in his hair - we couldn't use paint because his hair is made of sponge and the paint would have got absorbed into it. Miss cut loads of the sponge so that it would fit on his head - we used the cuttings as sideburns!

I did my post topic assessment today - I did really well; Miss gave me a team point because I wrote too much - I didn't have enough room to write everything I knew! I did some diagrams as well.

I didn't do my blog yesterday because it was too late, so two day's blog again today!

Yesterday, I can't really remember much, but we did this swimming safety thing, but we all felt really stupid because we had to pretend to swim without a swimming pool. Today we made out movies which weren't that bad after all.

Today in maths we did problems about finding fractions of numbers like 'what's two-thirds of nine' - that sort of thing.

We did some more work on our models today; the paint had come off the gloves, but it had dyed the gloves a lavender colour which looked quite good.

Today we painted our models - me and Summer painted the body green and the trousers and the gloves purple and we did the head a skin colour. On Monday we're going to do the shoes bright pink and put the mouth and eyes and hair on the model.

Today its only a short blog because it's very late, so - today in maths we went in the ICT suite and played fraction games; it was really fun.

After that in literacy I did some rhyming poems and they were really fun too.

Wednesday
It was our last day of swimming - we got to play with the floats. In maths we had to add fractions and in literacy we had to start doing our poems (I finished mine in my big writing book).

Today
We started our clown model - it's looking really good. We did lots of different fractions (mixed fractions) and I did an illustration for the poem I wrote yesterday.

Today in maths we did adding fractions - it was the hardest thing I've ever done in my little life! There was about 16 questions, but by the time I finished them, miss had put more questions on the board and I could never catch up - it was like Achilles and the Tortoise.

After play I wrote some poems - we got in to groups and I was the leader. They showed us a poem and we discussed what we liked about it and what we didn't like. There was a picture on it and it was about a haunted house and we said we didn't like the picture because it was too colourful; i8t should have been black to make it more scary.

In PHSCE guess what our topic was - drugs! We were talking about heroin and that sort of thing.

Today was red nose day, so we all had to wear red and I wore a red nose too. We had comprehension and in maths we did fractions. We did activities in the afternoon - we could either do a design of a red nose, a poem or a poster - I did all three!

We did our singing assembly today which went really well. I was in the front row and Mr Collier gave me a team point for my singing!

Today we planed our models and did maths (super spicy test - I got them all right).

Yesterday I forgot my blog again - we did Carroll diagrams in maths and that's about all I remember - oh, we didn't do ICT and we did comprehension.

Today was another great day! We actually did swimming this week so what we did was use our flippers and did the back stroke (which is rubbish because I already know it). When we came back it was play time and after play time we did ICT which was making very short videos.

In maths today we had to do interpreting data - we had to answer 7 questions about a pictogram like how many were there all together and so on. We didn't do literacy today because we missed a creative curriculum (CC) lesson on Friday so we did that instead of literacy. In CC we did a diagram to show how we are going to do our electric circuits.

Today, swimming was brilliant - we went on the coach with our swimming bags and got to the swimming baths, but when we got there, we were told that the bus to take us back to school had been cancelled so we had to go back to school again. So we did a poster about how to keep safe at the swimming pool instead.

In maths we did a line graph of yesterday's pancake throwing; we had to write up a conclusion of what had happened (there wasn't a link between arm length and how far we could throw a pancake).

It was parent's evening tonight and as always I got good feedback so it was a bit boring.

Today we did lots of fun things. In maths we had to predict how far we could throw a plastic pancake in a pan - only six people were allowed to do it and I was one of them. I don't think there is a correlation between arm length and how far you can throw a pancake; we are going to draw a line graph tomorrow to find out. We did lots more, but it's too late and I'm tired.

We did literacy - we did comprehension because we are learning about instructions and we had to answer questions about a set of instructions. Maths was good because all we had to do was our timetables and then Mr Collier measured our arms -and then we went up in order (longest arms first) and tomorrow we are going to try and toss a plastic pancake as far as we can and we are going to see if there is a link between arm length and how far we can toss a pancake.

The Eco Club leader came in today and he had a thermal imaging camera which was cool - we got to see the heat of everything. He had some hot water in a flask and pointed the camera at it and poured it into the cup and it showed up red through the camera.

I forgot to type up Friday's blog, so here goes....

Today we did science - we had to draw a diagram of the circuit and then we had to write down the experiment. Our table had to use the symbols when we drew the circuit.

In maths we had to do a bar chart of the number of people who died during different volcanic eruptions.

Today we designed our own secret garden. We could do lollipop trees and things like that - I didn't finish mine. We did some singing practice for our singing assembly and we did some compass directions in maths.

Today I finished off my secret garden art thing and it might go on display (I don't know yet). In maths we did a bar chart and a pictogram of the VEI of a volcano (the Volcanic Explosive Index).

Today was a very fun day because at the start of the day Miss Brazil was in a meeting, so Miss McDowel looked after us but all she had to do was do the reading so that's all right. We had maths and we had to do angles (we had to identify what types of angles they were) and I got to go on the internet because I finished mine so quickly.

In science we had to do circuits; we had some wires and a bulb and a battery and we had to work out how to get the bulb to light. We tried two bulbs and one battery and two batteries and one bulb.

I helped paint the display too today - I did the little robin and helped Miss put it up - I got a team point for that. (3 team points today).

Today was the first day back from the holidays. Today was a very fun day because we did stuff we hadn't already learned about so it was all new things. First I came in with my new bag which everyone liked, but some people said it was moustache man which I didn't really like that much. Then Miss did the register and we went up to assembly. In assembly we did the French words for the week which were the words for dance and run (but I can't remember what they are in French).

On the way down from assembly I was talking to Summer and Josh and Summer fell over and Josh fell over her foot and fell on her, so Summer had to go home. I didn't even get to ask her about the Sparticle Mystery!

In maths we had a test - I did quite well (I got a team point). We started reading The Secret Garden today - we wrote a description of the secret garden and Miss said mine was the best. I missed PE today because I was doing some display work because it's display week.

I didn't do my blog on Friday and I couldn't do it on Saturday because I was very tired. So on Friday I did maths. In maths I did some really fun things because we got to make up our own sums and then we gave them to someone else to work out the answers. The person's questions that I swapped with weren't that good though.

The best thing on Friday was Mr Collier's volcano experiment. He got three bottles of coke and was dressed in black bin bags - then he put some mentos in each of the coke bottles and it exploded like a volcano. Then we watched the youtube experiment with loads of coke bottles on the big screen. To watch it click here.

A long blog today because I haven't done one like this for ages. Today when I went into school I was a bit late because they had almost finished the register but I didn't get a late mark so that was okay. After they had said the dinners (I'm not on them) I wanted to go because I had my mentoring but Suzan and Jake (the other mentors) knocked on our classroom door and said that me and Harry should go and do it. We got Stevie and then we went to key stage one to get the children that we were teaching. So we went to the classroom where all the little ones were and knocked on there door. Mrs Hutchins came out and said that we should find the person that we were teachings draw to get their reading books, so I went to find it. I was teaching a girl called Bethany and she is always going to be the one I teach. Miss Brown came out of the year one door and we went upstairs so that the key stage ones could read to us in the library. It was an easy book that she was reading to me but she still made some mistakes so I wrote in her reading record that she read well but at the beginning needed some help.

When we came back down everyone was just packing away so me and Harry sat on the carpet waiting to go to maths. My maths class were the first to go - well that's only part of the day, but I'm going to finish here so I can go downstairs and have my pudding.

We did swimming today - we used flippers and at the end of the lesson we did a competition to see who could swim under water the farthest - I swam a whole length and I even wanted to turn around and do another length, but I hit my head so I had to surface. I still won though!

I did 4 moon haikus today too.

Yesterday I didn't do my blog, so two days blog again today!

Yesterday I did my writing assessment. I think I did quite well at that because I didn't have to write it again. In maths today I did taking away and adding but using a different method. We had a science assessment today too (all about rocks and soil) - I think I did that quite well too.

Today we learned about syllables because tomorrow we are going to write some Japanese peoms with 5 syllables in the first line, 7 in the next and so on. We also leartned about Pompaii and Mount Vesuvius.

Yesterday I finished off my story- which was good, and in maths I did a mental maths test and got 19 out of 20 and 2 team points! Today I went into the computer suite again - I did some work on my targets because we are having an assessment to see if we can move up to a new target.

Today I finished the writing in my booklet - I just need to do the illustrations. My volcano one has been put on the wall. In maths we did something really fun - we did some ghost busters boxes some time ago and this time some stupid scientists needed our help because they needed to know what nets can be used to make a cube. It was fun because we had to cut them out and try and make them into cubes.

I didn't do my blog yesterday so I'm doing two days in one. Yesterday I had to do the reading thing with the year ones - so that's cool.

Today I finished off my volcano booklet and after that I got two chocolate biscuits and a jaffa cake and I also did some more of my story.

Today I did swimming - we wore flippers and I swam with my head in the water all the way from the deep end to the shallow end! I almost finished my story today, but it is only in my draft book so I have to write it again in a proper book. We have to write an information book about volcanoes tomorrow too.

Today I did PE - we had to line up for about 99% of the lesson and for the other 1% we had to do four movements - I did a tipple over, a couple of strides and a cartwheel. I started the middle part of my story about a dragon and a little boy called Joe.

Today I brought my skipping rope into school. The handle came off a few times. Science was good - all we had to do was look at some soil and draw a picture and answer a couple of dead easy questions. I also finished off my volcano.

Today I was a teacher - I taught one of the year 1s how to read - I had to teach Bethany - she is so cute! I also did the big skip off today where we had to skip to two minutes - one minute for general skipping and the next minute for skills - I did cross skip.

I made a 3d volcano too (after skipping) - just a usual day at school!

We came fifth in the athletics which wasn't very good because there were only five teams. Well, at least we got to the semi-finals and the teacher said I would be in next years team because I ran so well.

Not much more to say - but I start my job tomorrow so I'll tell you all about that.

Right, today was a busy day for me because, in assembly I got called out twice - once for my certificate in athletics and once for my road safety quiz. I also got a school job today - I have to teach the year 1's and 2's to read on Thursday mornings. We practised our athletics today at lunch time and then straight after register I did some more so I missed PE, but I had to do PHSCE - we learned about Sikhs.

Today I did comprihention - I hate comprihention, but I'm good at it. I also got selected for the atheletics, and we used our baby photos today.

Today I did my pedestrian training; we actually got to do it ourselves today - we crossed the road ourselves and no one got run over!

In maths all I did was guess on a calculator with Molly, and in literacy we had to draw a volcano. And for the rest of the day I draw some fruit and veg and hearts all dancing around!

Today was so great - I was so excited because we were doing the athletics tournament. I did hurdles, the long run, the relay and overall our school came second which means we're through to the Leeds semi finals!!!

Today is so exciting because at lunch time Mr Rouney asked me and my friends if we knew anyone who is fast at running in year 4 and I put my hand up. He said that after we have had our lunch we should see him so that he can see how fast we are; I was very excited and finished my lunch as quickly as I could (I ate it all though) and when I went out he wasn't there, so I did some skipping instead to warm up my muscles. When he arrived he told us that we should have a race on the football pitch and I came second, so I got chosen to go to a sports day at a different school tomorrow evening! I'm so excited!!!!

Today I did a quiz in school about road safety. Summer asked Miss if there was going to be buzzers and that, and she was neither right or wrong - there wasn't buzzers, but there were card with A, B and C on them which you had to hold up when ever there was a question. There were 3 rounds each with 5 questions and six of us in my group. Our group came second! So I won a bag, an activity book, a pen, a pencil, some stickers and a 3d sticker.

I wrote about a character in a story and I wrote about what he was thinking and what he looked like.

Today was out big performance - because of that, all the people who were doing the play had to learn some more actions for it (those that didn't come this evening had to read their reading books).

We did some work on adjectives and in maths we did take away sums (where you write one number below the other).

I didn't do yesterday's blog, so I'll do it today...

We did our Christmas play yesterday (although it isn't a Christmas one any more is it!) It went well. We did again today - dad came to watch. We had swimming in the morning and maths - Mr Collier told us a funny story to teach us how to do hard adding and taking away!

I forgot to blog on Friday and I can't remember much about what we did, but I do remember that I was in the big book for doing loads of homework (14 pages!).

Today we had our dress rehearsal for our Christmas play that was postponed. We had PE too (jumps and stuff) and that's about it.

Yesterday I went to school but I forgot to blog! I made up a setting which would be in a Narnia book; we didn't have to copy a Narnia setting, just make one up. In maths we did decimals. It was good to see all my friends again after the Christmas break.

Today I had to write up the actual setting for Narnia (with all the snow and everything) and in maths we did loads of stuff on decimals like finishing off a sequence of decimals and we also had a dress rehearsal of our Christmas play which was postponed last year because of the snow.
