We talked some more about Guy Fawkes today and watched a video that was too scary for me! Guy Fawkes sprinkled gun powder on the barrels in a shed, and they dug a tunnel and sprinkled some more.

I scraped my knee today; I forgot to say that I got a bumped head note yesterday as well!

With milk I had pear, and for lunch I had broccoli cheese with wedges and carrots and for pudding I had chocolate mousse.

I was very late this morning - I missed most of assembly! We had to go to reception, and I went to my classroom by myself and put my bag and coat down, and then I went back up to the hall where we have assembly. Everyone looked at me when I went in - I was feeling a bit embarrassed.

We did literacy - I wrote about this man who died on bonfire night - Guy Fawkes; he came from York. There was Numeracy where we did something to do with shapes, and I read some of my book.

With milk I had nothing (because there wasn't anything) and for lunch I had something yucky (it was too sweet - it was vegetable stew, but I didn't see any vegetables!) and I didn't eat all of it. I had it with potatoes, sweetcorn and pasta and for pudding I had sponge with lemon icing.

Now I'm in year 1, I've got a timetable; it's on the wall and it tells us what we should be doing every day. Today We did numeracy, literacy, lunch, play and PE. We did ICT as well - that's when we go to the computer suite. We had to do this thing where you have to type what the picture is.

With milk I had nothing and for lunch I had fish-cakes, chips sweetcorn and tomato sauce and for pudding I had grapes.

Today something very exciting happened - you know those people who came in to ask me about healthy eating; they were from the news paper and today they came back to the school to take our photo - I can't wait to see my picture in the newspaper; I'm going to be famous!

For numeracy I did 9+9 (easy), 10+10 (easy) and 12+12 (easy).

With milk I had apple and for lunch I had croquette potatoes, bolognese, carrots and sweetcorn and for pudding I had a whole melon!

Wednesday, October 17, 2007

I took some coins into school today; one from China and one from Ghana. I showed them to my teacher. We did numeracy today; we were doubling again - we always do doubling! We did 10+10 and 20+20.

With milk I had banana and for lunch I had macaroni with mash, cucumber and celery and gravy - it was nice though! For pudding I had strawberry mousse.

Today was harvest festival. We had a quick literacy lesson and a quick play outside and then it was time to walk to the church. When I arrived I saw my daddy! I sang a song about a farmer picking things and getting things:
The farmer gathers his hay today,
It's harvest time,
The farmer gathers his hay today,
It's harvest time,
He cuts it down and stacks it high,
Gives it a shake and leaves it to dry,
The farmer gathers his hay today,
It's harvest time.
There are two more verses as well.
After that we walked back to school - tell me about it! My legs hurt!
With milk I had carrots and for lunch I had ravioli with wedges and broccoli and for pudding I had fruit cocktail.

Today I had assembly and we did some theme work and numeracy work. The theme work was about Paris; in Paris there is a tower called the Eiffel tower - I've forgotten all the rest. In numeracy we did doubling. We did some rhyming as well today.

With milk we had pears, but there weren't enough so I didn't have one. For lunch I had cauliflower cheese with backed potato and carrots and for pudding I had fruit cocktail with cream.

I've got some very exciting things to say today - this morning I went to see these people and they were talking about how our school is and how healthy it is. There are different people that we have never seen before, but they are both teachers; they asked me questions about our school being healthy. Because of those people I was late for assembly, so I had to sit with the year 2's.

I got a bumped head note today because I bumped my head on the skipping rope, and on it they said 'Nadia Wilson' instead of my real name.

With milk I had lovely apple and for lunch I had pizza, chips sweetcorn and for pudding I had grapes.

Thursday, October 11, 2007

I did lots of exciting things today; I had to write about who my friend is and what they say to me (I was going to do 2, but I didn't do one for Mrs Brown), I dad some number work and some writing work that was so good that I had to show Mrs Bratley and I got a sticker. We have a numeracy book and a literacy book; a red book and a green book - when I'm bigger I'm going to get a yellow book and a green book. I did music today - it was the 'slowly, slowly, very slowly' song.

With milk I had tomatoes - I had one this time and it was gorgeous. For lunch I had mince pie, mash potato carrots and gravy and for pudding I had grapes.

We practiced our songs for the harvest festival today as well. And we had our school photos - the lady told use to say "sweetie"; I only needed one click.

During assembly today we had to sit right at the back of the hall - there were no year 3's in front of us, or 4's or 5's or 6's because they were at the sides. It was because we were too late because we were being too chatty.

I got a new book today as well. But Stevie got a harder book than me and I want the hard book as well. With milk today I had banana and for lunch I had roast potatoes, ham and cucumber, celery and gravy and for pudding I had rice pudding with raisins and gravy (not really).

Today we learned about Louis Braille; once there was a boy called Louis Braille. His dad was in a workshop making saddles with a special tool and his dad said "don't touch these tools", but his dad wasn't looking, Louis tried to put the tool into one of the saddles and it slipped and went into his eye and the blood went into his other eye so he was blind. He went to blind school and invested braille writing. Before there was braille writing they used proper letters to feel, but they were slow to read, but the new braille was really fast to read. There was a new school teacher at Louis Braille's school and that school teacher said "leave the alphabet how it is - not Louis Braille's way", but he didn't and that's how braille got invented.

With milk I had carrots, and for lunch I had chicken, mash potatoes, cauliflower and carrots and gravy and for pudding I had lemon yogurt.

Monday, October 08, 2007

This morning I went into school and I did blah blah blah. The End.

I'm on level 3 on the reading books now. I wrote some sentences today as well about our senses and blind people.

I didn't have nothing with nothing today, I had the top of a pear and the bottom of a pear and the middle of the pear and some milk. For lunch I had chili and rice with cucumber and for pudding I had chocolate moose.

I played with the big skipping rope at break time. You know the big girls; the nine and ten year olds? - I beat them at skipping! I really did!

Friday, October 05, 2007

Today we had to dress up as a character out of a book - I went as Snow White. The teachers were dressed up as the three little pigs, and Mr Collier was dressed as a pirate and he had purple hair!

I wrote an invitation today for someone to come to the class tea party. It was good, but we didn't play any games - but there were buns and flap jacks (yuck) and sandwiches (yummy).

For lunch I had sausages, mash potato, beans and gravy and for pudding I had grapes. There were tomatoes with milk this morning, but I didn't have one.

I skipped at play time.

Thursday, October 04, 2007

This morning we sang 'Ai-ai-yippy-yippy-ai Apple Pie' in assembly. I took my big story in for Mrs Atkinson to see and I wrote another one today at school about the three little wolves.

With milk I had oranges and for lunch I had yummy mince with vegetables in it and wedges and sweetcorn and for pudding I had grapes.

I baked some piggy buns today we used silver balls and pink smarties to decorate them.

How many toes has a fish got? None.

Today some of year 6 came to school in their pajamas - they didn't have to get dressed! We got our homework back today - I got them all right!

I had carrots with my milk today and for lunch I had chicken, mash and broccoli and gravy and for pudding I had jelly with lovely cream.

Tuesday, October 02, 2007

This morning we had to take Chester to school as well. I handed my homework in today - I got them all right! I did a wolf thing today as well; you had to find a wolf and describe him like 'horrible' and 'greedy' and 'impatient'.

With milk I had banana and for lunch I had yummy yummy cauliflower cheese with croquette potatoes and sweetcorn and for pudding I had grapes.

It was our go on the tyres today.

Chester came home with me after school, but he was being mean to me and teasing me.

Monday, October 01, 2007

My memory has gone today, I can't remember what I did at school. Okay, at milk time I had no pear but one milk, and for lunch I had celery and cucumber and lettuce and potatoes and fish and for pudding I had lovely, lovely, lovely sponge with lovely, lovely, lovely lemon icing.

I got a new book today and I read some of it at school. We had a lesson as well; its story week and display week this week, so we had to act a story without standing up- it was three little pigs, and we did some actions to go with the story.
